Ban For Plastic Bags In Kannur District

Kannur: Use of plastic carry bags are banned in Kannur district by the district administration. Plastic carry bags with a thickness less than 20 micron should not be manufactured or used in the district. The ban is valid for both new and recycled products.

Bhaaskara To Offer Dance and Music Courses From This Year

Payyanur:The newly setup college under the Heritage India Foundation at Bhaaskar campus will start functioning from this year. The collge will offer graduate courses in Bharatanatyam and Carnatic Music. The Bharatanatyam course will be held directly under the guidance of VP Dhananjayan and Shanta Dhananjayan while Dr. Omankutty will be the in-charge of Carnatic Music. Ban for Pan Masala In Cherupuzha

Payyanur: Cherupuzha Panchayath imposed a ban on all Pan masala products within the panchayath. Panchayath has given instructions to all merchants and business outlets about the ban. Paithalen Damodaran, the president of Cherupuzha Grama Panchayath has requested the people to inform about any kind of violation of this order.

Chemballikkundu Bridge Inauguration

Payyanur: The Chemballikundu Bridge which joins the Cheruthazam and Madai Panchayats will be officially inaugurated by Dr. M.K. Muneer, The Minister for Public Works today at 11.30 am. The function will be presided over by Smt. Sreemathi Teacher, MLA. With the inauguration of this bridge, Vengara of Madai Panchayat which falls under Payyanur Assembly Constituency and Kovvapram of Cheruthazham Panchayat get connected. It will reduce the distance for the people from Madai, Muttom and Mattool etc. to reach Payyanur to an extent of 5 kms. Moreover, the transport facility from Kunhimangalam to Pazhayangadi would be improved.


Contributions of the Trikkaripurian in Creating History:

Payyanur: In the historical achievement of East Bengal, Caclcutta in fact India, the contribution of Shri M. Suresh from Trikkaripur is praiseworthy. In the historical football tournament, Suresh was the Defender and negated all the efforts Thailand Heroes which led to East Bengal to win this match.

Payyanur Sauhuruda Vedi, Bahrain

The first General Body Meeting of Payyanur Sauhruda Vedi, Bahrain was held at 8.00 pm on 24th July, 2003 at South Park Restaurant, Manama, Bahrain.

Shri C.R. Nambiar presided the meeting and in his presidential speech Shri C.R. Nambiar once again explained the objectives of PSV and requested everyone from Payyanur area to co-operate with the forum.
