Payyanur: P.Balan Master has been nominated to the director board of Pariyaram Medical College. He will be representing Kannur Dist Co-op Bank in the new director board. As per the bye-law of the medical college, any person or institution who possess a share of Rs.50 lakhs or more will be a member of the director boarad. Kannur Dist Co-op Bank has a share of Rs.50 lakhs in the co-op society which owns the medical college. Balan Master is the patron of Payyanur Dot Com Group.The first meeting of the newly constituted director board will be held today at Pariyaram.

Payyanur:Pariyaram Academy of Medical Sceinces will be starting Dental,Pharmacy and Nursing Colleges in the medical college campus soon. They got the n.o.c from government of Kerala and approval from the University also. Medical College authorities informed our reporter that the dental council will be sending their inspection team regarding the approval for the dental college. B.D.S, B.Pharm and B.Sc(Nursing) courses will be offered at Pariyaram once it is approved by the respective central agencies.

Payyanur:Payyanur Co-op Urban Bank felicitated the rank winners of the SSLC examination. KC Venugopal MLA distributed the cash awards to Rinoy Chandran,Nived S and Jitin T. P.Balan Master(president of urban bank) presided over. KK Muraleedharan Nambiar(Co-op Jt Registrar),C Janardanan,Prof. PV Padmanabhan,TV Gopalan,and Adv. DK Gopinathan offered felicitations.

Payyanur:Police formed a special investigation team to inquire Sandhya murder case. Sandhya, a plus two student of Mathamangalam was killed in October 2001. The formation of the new team is followed by the High Court's directive. Manoj Abraham IPS , Supdt of Police himself will be the leader of the team. T.Zackaria (DySP),P Subair (CI Payyanur), Habeeb Rehman (CI Thaliparamba),Assainar (SI Peringome), MV Sukumaran(SI Payyanur) and PK Fazaludden(SI Thaliparamba) are the other members of the special team.

Payyanur:Police charged case against doctor in connection with the death of a youth in Payyanur Co-operative hospital. KP Vindo Kumar(29) of Puliyannoor,Cheemeni died at Pariyaram Medical College hospital yesterday.It is reported that Vindokumar was admitted to Payyanur Coop hosptial saturday night due to severe fever. The relatives of Vindo describes that the doctor, Dr. Shameer gave a medicine for the severe throat pain to the patient and after that Vinod responded abnormally. He was shifted to the ICU in the evening and later to Pariyaram where he died. The relatives allge that the doctor gave wrong medicine and that is the only reason for Vinod's death.
