Payyanur: Noted theyyam performer Kuruvatte Kunhirama Peruvannan (59) died at Kunhimangalam yesterday. Peruvannan, a retired peon of Neruvambram Technical School was very famous for his talent in the face paintings of theyyam. His performance of Bali Theyyam was very well known. He received the Kerala Folklore Academy award in 2001. Payyanur Dot Com convey our condolences on the untimely demise of this great artist.
