Payyanur: The Payyanur municipality passed the budget for the year 2004-05 yesterday. The budget includes a massive town development plan. Rs 25 lakhs will be spent for the various projects for the development of the town while Rs 50 lakhs will be used for the acquisition of land for various projects. A bus terminal along with three storied shopping complex will be constructed at the proposed bus stand at an estimated cost of Rs 60 lakhs while a parking structure will be constructed at a cost of Rs 61 lakhs at the existing busstand. A mini stadium (Rs 81 lakhs),town hall (62 lakhs), bulding for govt hospital (32 lakhs) etc also found space in the budget.
