Service Bank Director Board Dismissed
Payyanur: The co-op joint registrar dismissed the director board of Payyanur Co-op Service Bank and the Co-op Unit Inspector took charge as the administrator of the bank. The bank director board had obtained temporary stay against the dismissal earlier. The dismissal came into effect immediately after the court stay was vacated. Various charges are raised againt the director board. The present director board came into power through the notorious election held on 16th November 1996. It was alleged that CPM controlled director board snatched power from Congress through booth capturing, bogus votes and violence.
