Payyanur: K.Sudhakaran, the minister for sports affairs formally inaugurated the Veteran Sportsmen Forum, the unity of veteran sports persons of Payyanur. Forum president VM Damodaran presided over. Prof KR Krishnan Nair offered the main speech. Veteran sports journalist KPR Krishnan , former Ranji player Sandy Aron and the senior members of the forum were honoured at the function. Prof MV Bharathan, Dr P Madhavan, PM Damodaran Adiyodi, AK Unnikrishnan, P Krishnan, KPR Krishnan and PV Sreedharan also addressed the function.
