Payyanur: The newly reconstitued area committees of CPI-M started functioing at Payyanur and Peringome. The Payyanur area of CPI-M was divded into two as Payyanur and Peringome for easing the operation. EP Jayarajan inaugurated the formation meeting of the Payyanur area committee and GD Nair presided over. A 14 member area committee was constituted with EP Karunakaran as the secretary.
EP Jayarajan inaugurated the Peringome area committee formation meeting at Peringome. A 15 member committee was constituted with V Narayanan as the secretary.
Similarly the Madayi area committee of CPI-M was also divided into two as Madayi and Pappinisseri. The office of the new Madayi area committee will be shifted from Eripuram to Pilathara. The new Madayi area commitee consists of Madayi, Cherutazham-east and west, Kadannappalli, Panapuzha, Kunhimanglam and Ezhom local committees.
