Payyanur: The Malayala Padasala , Kannur run by TP Bhaskara Poduval is going to introduce literary awards from this year. The four awards will be Chirakkal T Balakrishnan Nair memorial award for literary reserach, AK Krishnan Master memorial award for poetry, TP Sukumaran memorial award for theatre works and Kesari memorial award for story. The entries for awards in the respective fields should reach the Padasala before the end of first week of February. The padasala is conducting a workshop on Malayalam poetry on 22 and 23rd February at Kannur. D.Vinayachandran will be the camp director and Vishnunarayanan Namboothri will be the instructor. The camp will have 20 candidates. Applications for the workshop should reach the padasala on or before January 31st with two poetries attached.
