Payyanur: UDF leaders allge that Payyanur Municipality is the most corrupted one in the state. They demanded the publishing of the vigilance's first inquiry report. They allege that the tender for municipal fish market was for Rs.4 lakhs and was raised to an amount of Rs.17 lakhs later which indicated clear corruption. A grant of Rs.8 lakhs was given to a newly estatblished women's hostel run by a CPM dominated society. The UDF leaders were addressing a press conference at Payyanur Press Club.
