Vishnu Namboothiri Back To Badareenath Ravalji Title
Payyanur: Sri.Perumabillath Vishnu Namboothiri is again appointed as the "ravalji" (the chief priest) of Badareenath Temple. Vishnu Namboothir, a native of Pilathara, stated that he lost this title due to the intervention of LK Advanai, the home minister and Ashok Singhal, the president of Vishwa Hindu Parishad. Namboothiri finds the return of Congress to power in Utharanchal as the main reason for his re-appointment. He will take chareg as the ravalji on 17th of this month.
