Payyanur: Kaithapram Viswanathan Namboothiri bagged this year's Kerala State Film Award for background score. He got this prestigious award for his work in the film "kannaki" directed by Jayaraj. Viwanathan is the brother of noted music director & lyricist Kaithapram Damodaran Namboothiri. He is running a music institute called "Sruthilaya" at Payyanur. The award details were announced by G.Karthikeyan, the minister for cultural affairs at Thriuvananthapuram today.
