Payyanur: The executive committee meeting of the Indian Medical Council held at New Delhi yesterday,recommended permanent recognition for Pariyaram Medical College.The final decision will be taken at the general body meeting of the council to be held on 30th of this month. This action of the IMC is in accordance with the Supreme court's direction to IMC to take decision before 1st May. In the meantime the classes of the seventh MBBS course started at Pariyaram yesterday. Sri. P.Narayanan Nambiar, MD of Pariyaram MC welcomed the new students.
