Payyanur: The all India Federation Cup Volleyball Tournament will be held at Payyanur Jimmy George Floodlit stadium from 3rd to 10th February, 2002. Sri. PM Sayed, the deputy speaker of Loksabha will inaugurate the tournament. Total sixteen (eight each in men and women) teams will participate in the tourney. In men’s section-Indian Railway, Tamilnadu, Services,Karnataka.Punjab, Haryana, UP and Kerala are the teams while Railways,Kerala, Tamilnadu, Karnataka, W Bengal,Andhra Pradesh, Chandigarh and Punjab will meet in the women’s section. The tournament is based on the league-cum-knockout basis and there will be a total of 32 matches. A total of 5 matches will be held per day both morning and evening.
