PDSE Course in Payyanur Polytechnic
Payyanur: Applications are invited from interested female candidates for the PDSE (Post Diploma in Software Engineering) course at the Residential Women’s Polytechnic, Payyanur. This course is similar to the PGDCA but only for diploma holders. The Department of Technical Education and the Continuing Education Sub-centre jointly conduct this three-semester course. A second-class diploma (other than Computer Engineering) is the minimum qualification required. The application forms and prospectus are available at the Polytechnic office at Muthiyalam, Payyanur for Rs.50 or Rs.75 by post. The last date for receiving the duly filled applications is 29th September 2001. The address of the Polytechnic is Principal, Residential Women’s Polytechnic, Payyanur, 670307.
New School Building Inaugurated
Payyanur: Sri. T.Govindan MP formally inaugurated the new building of the Payyanur Municipal HS, Kandangali. The three-story building is constructed by the Parent Teachers Association.
Quiz Competition
Payyanur: A district level quiz competitions will be conducted at Payyanur on October 6th in connection with the Gandhi Jayanthi Celebration. The competition will be for the plus two, regular and parallel college students and will be based on Gandhiji and the National movement. The Bapuji Memorial Trust and the Taluk Committee of the Mathrubhumi Study Circle jointly conduct the quiz competion.
